Nil-Cor® Fiber-Composite Ball Valves, Flanged Ball Valves, Novolac Epoxy Resin, Graphite Fiber Reinforced (500XP Series)
Nil-Cor® Fiber-Composite Flanged Ball Valve, Novolac Epoxy Resin (500XP Series) features a one-piece body, eliminating the leak path inherent in a body joint. Ball valves for corrosive chemical service used in construction of pressurized piping systems, and piping systems requiring electrically conductive valve bodies.

- ONE-PIECE BODY: The one-piece compression molded, novolac epoxy resin system optimizes both chemical resistance and mechanical capabilities of the 500XP fiber composite ball valve.
- STRONG CONSTRUCTION: Rock solid composite construction of graphite fibers combined with high strength corrosion resistant novolac epoxy resin.
- DURABLE AND LIGHT WEIGHT: Excellent alternative to high alloy valves. Nil-Cor ball valves are 50% - 80% lower cost and 1/3 the weight. Saves money on piping supports and makes Nil-Cor ball valves ideal for use on plastic and FRP flanged piping systems.
- CHEMICAL RESISTANCE TO CORROSIVE SOLUTIONS: The novolac epoxy resin and graphic fiber combination valve provides outstanding resistance to solvents organic acids, caustics and salt solutions in higher temperature applications.
- PIPE GROUNDING: The novolac epoxy resin, graphite fiber reinforced valve provides conductivity for those applications where grounding throughout the piping system is required.
- CORROSION RESISTANT, SAFE AND RELIABLE: All Nil-Cor ball valves feature lightweight, corrosion resistant bodies, no wetted metallic components and a lock-out as standard equipment.
- UNIQUE COLOR CODING: All valves have unique color coding for easy field identification.

Materials of Construction
- Body: Compression molded graphite and novolac epoxy resin
- Gland: Hastelloy®-C with integral locking plate.
- Stem: Hastelloy®-C metal insert with molded graphite fiber/ novolac epoxy composite on all wetted surfaces*. Note: 10” stem Solid Hastelloy®-C. Consult Factory for options.
- Gland Bolts: Hastelloy®-C
- Stem Packing: PTFE V-Rings.
- Thrust Washer: Glass and carbon-filled PTFE
- Insert: Compression molded graphite and novolac epoxy
- Seals: PTFE-coated FKM elastomer O-ring.
- Ball: Compression molded graphite fibers and novolac epoxy resin.
- Seats: Self-Relieving Virgin PTFE. Glass-filled and Cavity-Filler seats available.
- Operators: Composite lever (1”-4”). Stainless Steel handle adapter (5”-8”). All handles have locking provision. Gear is standard on 10”, and recommended on 6”& 8”.
