Composite Ball Valves

Nil-Cor® composite ball valves are considered the leading composite ball valve across numerous industries worldwide. Our graphite and fiberglass reinforced thermosets and thermoplastic resins are resistant to acids, caustics, bleaches and more than one thousand other industrial and waste treatment chemicals, at half the cost of traditional alloy valves.

Graphite and glass fiber-reinforced plastics provide exceptional performance improvements in weight, fatigue strength, and durability. By combining these fibers with high performance plastics, corrosion resistance, durability, and temperature resistance, the ability to exceed commonly available plastics is achieved.

The Nil-Cor series of vinyl ester and epoxy resin ball valves have been designed to achieve strengths equivalent to metals with the inherent corrosion resistance of these advanced fibers and resins.

Benefits

Additional benefits of Nil-Cor® Fiber-Composite Ball Valves:

  • light-weight construction, resistance to corrosion and chemical compatibility
  • provide resistance to over 1000 chemicals and chemical combinations
  • offer excellent abrasion resistance to suspended particles, mild slurries
  • unaffected by ultraviolet light
  • face-to-face dimensions meet ANSI B16.10
  • streamlined standard port design delivers low pressure loss while keeping actuation -torque and cost to a minimum
  • designed with heavier wall and flange thicknesses than metal or plastic valves
  • offer the only standard self-relieving seat in the industry, eliminating the need to drill holes in the ball for cavity pressure relief
  • optional Cavity Filler (CF) seat sets the design standard for rugged, durable performance in slurries and dirty services

Application Suitability

Choose from the above selection of corrosion resistant, vinyl ester or epoxy resin composite ball valves.
