Durcor® for their piping system to safely manage
and transfer hydrochloric acid (HCl) within their
tank farm and pickle line waste streams. Since HCl
is a highly corrosive chemical, it was critical that
the selected piping system would be constructed
of the most corrosion resistant materials, have the
highest reliability and safety, and have the lowest
total cost of ownership.

After carefully reviewing the Durcor® technology,
they determined that the Durcor® fluoropolymer
lined composite piping system, manufactured by

  • If the piping system is being insulated for burn
    protection, insulation may not be necessary with
    Durcor® pipe
  • When insulating piping for thermal loss, if Durcor® piping is used, no insulation or less insulation will be required as compared to lined steel Durcor® Comprehensive Piping System
