Nil-Cor® Zirconia or UHMWPE Lined Ball Valve, Flanged Ball Valve, Graphite Fiber Reinforced (300 Series) features a one-piece body, eliminating the leak path inherent in a body joint. This UHMWPE lined composite ball valve is a combination of two advanced material technologies: partially stabilized zirconia ceramic and graphite fiber reinforced vinyl ester composite to provide phenomenal abrasion and chemical resistance for less severe slurry applications such as WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant) sludge and gypsum.

Product Features & Benefits

    The one-piece valve body is made of a solid construction of glass fiber and polysulfone resin.
    The combination of two advanced materials technologies: graphite fiber-reinforced vinyl ester resin and tough new zirconia ceramic produces the best performing and lowest cost valve for corrosive/erosive fluids.
    Excellent alternative to high alloy valves. Nil-Cor ball valves are 50% - 80% lower cost and 1/3 the weight. These valves save money on piping supports and makes Nil-Cor ball valves ideal for use on plastic and FRP flanged piping systems.
    Since the UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) liners are fully interchangeable with the Zirconia liners, it is easy to upgrade to ceramic should the need arise.
    All Nil-Cor ball valves feature lightweight, corrosion resistant bodies and a lock-out as standard equipment.
    Manual, automated on/off or precision factory assembled modulating control valves are available.

  • Stem: Hastelloy-C encapsulated with graphite- filled vinyl ester. Solid Hastelloy-C is optional
  • Stem Packing: PTFE V-Rings
  • Seats: Zirconia Ceramic
  • Seat Retainers: Graphite Filled Vinyl Ester
  • Thrust Washer: Glass and graphite filled PTFE
  • Ball: Magnesia-partially stabilized (Mg-PSZ) Zirconia Ceramic
  • Liners: Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) or Magnesia-partially stabilized (Mg-PSZ) Zirconia Ceramic
  • Liner Seals: PTFE coated Viton O-rings
  • Operators: Composite lever (1”-4”). Stainless Steel handle adapter (5”-8”). All handles have locking provision. Gear is recommended on  6”& 8”
