Poly-Gas® Ball Valve, Gas Ball Valve, Polyethylene Gas Ball Valve

Poly-Gas® polyethylene gas ball valves are valves specifically designed for controlling the flow of natural gas or gaseous propane through polyethylene (PE) piping systems. Polyethylene is a durable and flexible plastic material commonly used for gas distribution systems due to its excellent resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and stress cracking.

Polyethylene gas valves are typically made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or medium-density polyethylene (MDPE), which are both suitable for gas applications. These valves are engineered to meet the requirements and standards of gas distribution, ensuring safety and reliability.

It's important to note that installation, maintenance, and compliance with local regulations and codes are essential for the proper use of polyethylene gas valves and the overall safety of gas distribution systems.

Before making your final determination on valve suitability for your specific application and compatibility with the chemicals and conditions it will be exposed to, please contact our customer service specialists

Product Features & Benefits

  • POLYETHYLENE: Corrosion-free due to high-grade polymeric materials. There are no metal internal parts.
  • RUGGED AND RELIABLE: Polyvalve Poly-Gas® valves are the strongest part of a polyethylene piping system.
  • FUSED BODY SHELL: The fused body shell removes leak paths to the atmosphere.
  • ENHANCED SEALING PERFORMACE: Multiple elastomeric stem seals provide improved sealing efficiency compared to a single seal. The additional seals create multiple barriers, reducing the chances of leakage and ensuring a tighter seal.
  • BUBBLE-TIGHT SHUTOFF AND DUAL ELASTOMERIC SEATS: By combining the bubble-tight shutoff and dual elastomeric seats, the valve can provide an enhanced sealing performance. The dual elastomeric seats ensure a tight seal by deforming and conforming to the valve's surfaces, while the bubble-tight shutoff guarantees zero leakage by preventing any fluid or gas from passing through the valve when it is fully closed.
  • SMOOTH BORE: The smooth bore gives excellent flow characteristics in both full and reduced port designs.
