ANDRONACO INDUSTRIES is a growing manufacturing company seeking an ABOVE-AVERAGE individual to join our Fabrication Team at our  Houston, Texas plant. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able to read, understand, and interpret the blueprint/isometric drawings and specification to determine the scope of work, including but not limited to locations, quantities, and materials needed.
  • Able to prepare, fit, layout, fabricate and assemble pipe and other components needed together as required by the blueprint/isometric drawings or customer.
  • Pattern, cutting, rolling fiberglass
  • Proper use of resin and putties
  • Mixes catalyst into resin and saturates cloth and mat with mixture, using brush
  • Laying out fiberglass mat and using rollers to ensure resin is evenly distributed across part being made.
  • Laminate layers of fiberglass on molds to form small parts
  • Places layers of mat and cloth in mold and smooths out wrinkles with hand roller
  • Trims excess material from mold, using hand tools
  • Sanding and grinding parts
  • Prep and paint parts 
  • Maintain accurate records of hours worked on work orders.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of measurement tools needed to perform the job.
  • Able to work with great concentration and precision, great mechanical aptitude and math skills
  • Keen eye for detail and results-driven
  • Technical skills including controls and instrumentations

Senior Buyer

Position Summary:

Andronaco is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Buyer with a strong background in lean supply chain management to join our Purchasing Team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships while driving cost efficiencies, reducing waste, managing inventory design, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
    1. Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with lean supply chain principles.
    2. Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are met
    3. Negotiate contracts, terms, pricing, supply and/or stocking agreements to secure the best value for Andronaco
  2. Supplier Relationship Management
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement
    2. Monitor supplier performance using metrics such as lead times, on time delivery and defect rates
    3. Work with Suppliers too reduce waste and improve supply chain efficiency
  3. Inventory Demand and Planning
    1. Collaborate with inventory, planning and production teams to align purchasing with demand
    2. Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste, excess stock, and stock-outs.
    3. Ensure inventory remains within design. Investigate, Pareto and Problem solve unfavorable trends
  4. Cost Reduction and Waste Minimization
    1. Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining or improving product quality
    2. Use Value Stream Mapping and other lean tools to eliminate non-value-added activities in the Supply Chain.
    3. Monitor and manage purchase Price Variance to ensure cost effectiveness
  5. Process Improvement
    1. Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes, supplier collaboration, and internal workflows
    2. Implement best practices in lean supply chain management to achieve operational excellence
    3. Train and mentor team members on lean principles and procurement strategies
  6. Data Analysis and Reporting
    1. Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risk, and opportunities for improvement
    2. Prepare and present reports on purchasing metrics, savings achieved, and supplier performance
    3. Use data to support decision-making and align procurement activities with organizational goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, with a focus on lean practices
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, cash flow, supplier negotiation, and contract management
  • Experience with lean supply chain methodologies, such as JIT, Kanban, and value stream mapping
  • Proficiency in inventory and procurement software (Epicor preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
  • Purchasing experience in the Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, Energy, or Medical Device industries
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., Apics CPIM/CSCP, ISM CPSM)
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis (E.g., advanced excel, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau)
