Andronaco Industries’ ChemTite® Ethylene™ PTFE lined pipe and fittings pair a heavy-walled, isostatically molded PTFE liner with seamless steel pipe and forged steel flanges for corrosive and high-purity service from -20°F to 450°F.
The ChemTite® Ethylene™ brand was the first to employ PTFE isostatic molding processes and the first to process pure unmodified PTFE for its lined products. Today ChemTite Ethylene processes fluoropolymers in more ways than any other competing brand. Processes include dry & wet isostatic molding, paste extrusion, ram extrusion, rotolining, injection molding, intrusion molding, melt extrusion, resin transfer molding, compression molding and vacuum forming.
Product Features & Benefits
- PURE PTFE – NO VOCs, ADDED: ChemTite Ethylene utilizes only 100% pure virgin, high molecular weight PTFE resin in its manufacturing processes. NO pigments or solvent lubricants whatsoever are added to our PTFE liners.

HEAVY-WALLED FLUOROPOLYMERS: Pipe liners are heavy-walled, isostatically-molded PTFE liners which meet or exceed the requirements of the ASTM F1545 standard.
Nominal liner thickness ranges from 0.13” for 1” pipe to 0.31” for 8” pipe. - THE CHEMTITE DIFFERENCE: The ChemTite Ethylene brand focuses on the complete lined pipe assembly: PTFE liner and the steel housing. Without question, steel piping is a critical component of the piping assembly, it is the pressure retaining vessel. The PTFE liners’ only purpose is to protect the steel piping from being attacked by the fluid media.
- “SEAMLESS” STEEL HOUSING: The ChemTite Ethylene’s Lined Steel Pipe seamless tube is extruded and drawn from a billet while welded tubes are produced from a strip that is roll formed and welded to produce a tube. A welded tube is considerably less expensive than seamless, but it is severely compromised. ChemTite lined steel piping employs “seamless” Schedule 40 steel or stainless pipe in sizes 1” to 8” conforming to ASTM A53 grade B or ASTM A312.
- FORGED STEEL FLANGES: Forged steel flanges offer better impact resistance and are less brittle than ductile iron flanges. All ChemTite rotating flanges on pipe and fittings come standard as forged steel ASTM A105 which offer higher pressure ratings, better ultimate tensile and elongation compared to ductile iron.

FAQs
Is PTFE lined pipe the same as Teflon lined pipe?
Yes. Teflon is a brand name for PTFE, so "Teflon lined pipe" usually means PTFE lined pipe. ChemTite Ethylene liners are made from 100% pure virgin, high molecular weight PTFE resin with no pigments or solvent lubricants added.
What temperature and pressure can PTFE lined pipe handle?
ChemTite Ethylene PTFE lined pipe and fittings are rated from -20°F to 450°F. CL150 ratings run from 285 psig at 100°F to 200 psig at 450°F, with full vacuum at every temperature. A CL300 option is available on request.
What sizes of PTFE lined pipe are available?
Standard sizes run from 1" to 12", with PTFE liner thickness from 0.13" to 0.425". Consult the factory for sizes from 14" to 42".
What standard does ChemTite PTFE lined pipe meet?
Liners meet or exceed ASTM F1545. Qualification testing covers steam-cold water cycling, high and low temperature and vacuum, and every product is spark tested at 15 kV or hydrostatically tested at 1.5 times design pressure before shipment.
Which PTFE lined pipe fittings are available?
Standard fittings include 90° and 45° elbows, tees, reducing tees, short stack tees, crosses, laterals, concentric and eccentric reducers, branch tees, and blind, spectacle blind, straight reducing and tapered reducing flanges.
